Who you are hiring
Work booked through this site or by phone is performed by THE LAWN STORY LLC, a Florida limited liability company (SunBiz Document # L21000444050), located at 3321 W Woodlawn Ave, Tampa, FL 33607. There is no subcontractor between us and you; the crew on your property works for this company.
Where we work
Roughly a 25-mile radius of the shop, inside Hillsborough County. If your address falls outside that, we say so on the first call rather than booking you and canceling later.
Quotes and pricing
- Standard recurring cuts are priced by lot size and can be quoted over the phone.
- Cleanups, sod patching, hedge lines and anything overgrown are quoted after we walk the property.
- A quote is good for 30 days. The price we quote is the price we invoice unless you change the scope — and if the scope changes, we tell you before we do the work, not after.
Scheduling
Recurring customers are assigned a fixed route day. Florida afternoon storms and lightning do move crews; if we miss your day for weather, we come the next working day. Cut frequency changes with the season — weekly through the rainy months, biweekly in the dry ones — and we discuss that with you rather than changing your plan on our own.
Access to the property
We need the gate unlocked and dogs inside. If we arrive and cannot reach the lawn, we will call you; if we cannot get in and cannot reach you, the visit counts as a trip charge of $25 and we reschedule.
Payment
One-time jobs are due on completion. Recurring customers are invoiced monthly. We accept card, check and bank transfer. There is no automatic subscription that renews without your knowledge, no membership fee, and no cancellation penalty — recurring service can be stopped with a phone call before your next route day.
What is not included
Your property
Please flag sprinkler heads, low-voltage lights, invisible fence wire and anything buried near the turf line. We work around what we can see; if we damage something in the open, tell us within 48 hours and we repair or replace it.
Liability
Our responsibility is limited to the work performed and, at most, the amount invoiced for the job in question. We are not responsible for pre-existing turf disease, insect damage, or decline caused by an irrigation system or chemical program outside our control.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and any dispute belongs in Hillsborough County.
